Dance Shack Terms & Conditions - 2025
PLEASE READ CAREFULLY
A. Fees
All classes are payable via a monthly membership plan, with charges divided into 12 equal payments throughout the year. Payment of the membership fee secures your child’s place as a Dance Shack member but does not guarantee a set number of classes per year.
Membership may include a range of activities such as weekly classes, rehearsals, workshops, or performance days. The format of sessions may vary, and not every week will involve a standard class.
In certain cases, termly payment arrangements may be possible upon discussion with the admissions team.
Discounts on fees are available for students attending multiple classes or for siblings attending Dance Shack.
Additional chargeable items, such as yearly show fees, may be added to the first applicable monthly payment, with prior notice provided.
Refunds will not be issued for non-attendance due to sickness, holidays, or other reasons.
If a class is cancelled due to teacher illness, health epidemics, or other unforeseen circumstances, Dance Shack will endeavour to provide a substitute teacher or reschedule the class. Rescheduled classes may occur on a different day or time, and term dates may be extended. Refunds will not be given in these circumstances.
In cases of class cancellations due to exceptional weather, parents will be informed as early as possible via email and/or text. No refunds will be issued.
By enrolling, you agree to a rolling course of Dance Shack classes. After the first term, your child will automatically be enrolled in subsequent terms. A six-week written notice via email (or payment in lieu) is required to withdraw from classes. This notice period does not apply during or at the end of your child’s first term.
Failure to maintain payments may result in suspension of classes until the account is settled. Dance Shack reserves the right to add an administration fee for late payments.
At least six weeks’ notice will be provided for any fee increases.
B. Classes
Students must arrive promptly, dressed appropriately, and attend classes regularly.
Please inform the teacher of any injuries or relevant medical conditions prior to class.
Physical contact may be necessary to demonstrate or correct movements. Teachers will seek the child’s consent and explain the purpose of any contact.
Students should bring water bottles to class to stay hydrated during physical activity.
Disruptive behaviour that detracts from the learning environment is unacceptable. Students who disrupt classes may be asked to leave.
Dance Shack reserves the right to refuse entry to any class for reasons including disruptive behaviour, safeguarding concerns, or non-payment of fees.
Dance Shack cannot accept responsibility for loss or damage to personal belongings brought to class.
C. Uniform
Dance Shack uniforms can be purchased through the school.
Uniforms are not mandatory during the first term but are expected from the second term onward.
