The Dance Shack annual Drama and Singing Showcase - "CABARET"

Saturday 25^th April 2025 at 7PM

at: Elizabeth Green Hall, Manor House School,

Manor House Lane, Little Bookham, Leatherhead, Surrey, KT23 4EN

This show is an opportunity to showcase the performances that can't fit into the big annual shows. This is for all our wonderful singers and actors. There is no dancing! 

If your child is in the following classes, they are automatically taking part and have already begun rehearsing and learning in their classes:

Thursday 7pm Drama, WEST BYFLEET with Rianna

Saturday 9.45am Drama, SURBITON with Laura

Friday 5.15pm Drama, LEATHERHEAD with Lucy

It is also open to any of our Musical Theatre students who are 11+ to take part if they would like to prepare a short acting piece or song. If they are singing, Garth can create backing tracks, but the choice of song is up to the singers themselves. Pieces must be limited to around 1min30secs each for solos, or 2min for duets/groups, so we can be fair to all students who wish to take part!

DRAMA STUDENTS-

Drama students have all had information from their teachers on what they should bring and wear for the performance this Saturday.

SINGERS-

For all students taking part who are preparing their own songs, they can wear whatever they feel is suitable. Generally we suggest something that suggests the character of their song, or simply smart evening wear (for example, a nice dress, and smart shoes) they are welcome to bring a couple of options with them.

MUSICAL THEATRE STUDENTS-

These students will have a costume provided, but they must bring their "Blacks" to wear underneath.

GIRLS-  Black fitted vest top, thin strap 

GIRLS- Black leggings

BOYS Black tshirt

BOYS- Black tracksuit bottoms 

ALL- Black socks that cover the ankles 

Black jazz shoes/ALL Black trainers (no white soles/details)  

Rehearsal/Call Times:

Please see below the call times for Drama and Singing Evening. Please note that once students are signed in with us, they will need to remain with us until the show is over. Students must prioritise these rehearsals over any other clashing Dance Shack classes they have.

1.00pm      Friday 5.15pm Leatherhead Drama with LUCY         

2.30pm                Leatherhead Friday 4.30pm with LISA

3.00pm                    Thursday 7.30pm Drama with RIANNA

4.00pm                    Saturday 9.45am Drama with LAURA

5.00pm                    Leatherhead Sunday 12.30pm Musical Theatre with TAMARA

5.00pm   ALL additional students performing their own pieces

Please arrive 10mins early to sign in, as we have a rehearsal schedule we must keep to.

If any parents are able to stay once they sign their child in to help us during rehearsals, please let us know. We would be grateful for extra pairs of eyes until the show starts 

There is no show-fee, but the event is ticketed.
