Garth Hall,

Musical Director

Garth recently supervised the casting of Chicago 2018 at the Phoenix Theatre, continuing a relationship with this show that has lasted since 2001.He was musical director of Chicago for several years, both at the Adelphi Theatre and on tour in the UK and world-wide. He trained the five winners of the Channel 4 show ‘Musicality’, and has acted as supervisor on European and national tours, including the last two UK tours. He recently helped prepare the 2017 Danish-language production of the show.

He was associate conductor of The Sound of Music, at the London Palladium. Last year he was musical director for Denise Van Outen’s new one-woman show, Some Girl I Used To Know.

Other credits include: musical director of Sister Act, South Pacific, Anything Goes, My Fair Lady, The Sound of Music, & Me and My Girl (Kilworth House Theatre); musical director of West Side Story (Prince of Wales Theatre) and Cabaret (Chichester Festival Theatre).

Amongst the many shows Garth has worked on are: Matilda, Fosse, Me and My Girl, Mary Poppins, The Lion King, Les Misérables, Whistle Down the Wind, Avenue Q, Porgy and Bess, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, Divorce Me Darling!, Pickwick, Scrooge and Aspects of Love.

Garth has taught as vocal coach at the Guildhall, Arts Educational Schools, Mountview Academy, Italia Conti, Urdang Academy and currently teaches at Performers College.
